The branch cracked but Matt and Helen clung on above the lions.

‘I told—’

Matt interrupted. ‘Something ‘ll save you.’

Helen, tired of his happy clappy crap, swung back to the tree to kick him,  just as the branch broke.

Matt as he fall, shouted back. ‘See.’

Helen made a tradition of never dating optimists.
