On seeing Worm's Head

Visit Mr.Knowitall to post your own Friday Flash 55 word story or poem! Also a post for Sunday Scribblings on the prompt of Wait

Rhossili Bay[8]It was on the rocky slopes,
as I recall, west of Swansea
on the way to Rhossili Bay
with the wind set to wet
when we met too soon
our eyes for others
made me a fool
and you so cold
so we passed on by
until our time and place
of the midnight moon.

  1. Had to read this several times in order to savour the message it contained - live in the now so's not to miss anything - is what it seemed to say to me...

  6. You know
    the night time
    is the right time
    (for makin' whoopy!)

Reminds me of an old joke who's punchline is: "Well, timing's everything!"

  7. Some things you just can't rush. My son met his (then future) wife two years before they started dating. At the time of the first meeting, she thought he was a total jerk! They now have 2 kids.

    Lovely 55 and picture.

  12. This had a much stronger meaning, when heard read aloud. Our eyes for others,
and the rhythm of the buried rhyme is so smooth.

  13. And the wait? I hope it was worth it. Beautiful 55 and that photo is grand.

  14. I like the idea of the wind on a big dial, on the "wet" setting.

And enjoyed hearing your voice on the MP3.

I'd like to run along that cliff, even if it were raining a bit, would be invigorating I think.
