The students had stood their ground and shouted for Liberty from Tyranny. An intemperate few called for barricades but the others argued that Freedom of Assembly was a right you demonstrated. They were killed first.
Lord Horace was shocked. It was an outrage on the day of Queen Victoria’s anointment.
