Before and After

 

Jane’s death was her first gift. It ended the pain of seeing a body so shrank that a soul gasped for breath.  Later, as his addiction to junk-food ended, he realised her second gift. Jane's final words, ‘I love you like warm donuts,’ had made a pain of his pleasure.
